We are looking for Senior Tax Associate as part of our growing team in Lahore, Pakistan. As a Senior Associate, you’ll be a part of our community of solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

The detailed Job Description is as follows:

  1. Content Creation:
    1. Write informative articles, blog posts, and guides on tax-related topics, including tax planning, tax compliance, tax laws, and recent tax reforms.
    2. Research and stay updated on current tax laws, trends, and best practices.
    3. Develop content for various formats, including articles, newsletters, white papers, and social media posts.
  2. Research and Analysis:
    1. Conduct thorough research to ensure the accuracy and relevance of tax-related content.
    2. Analyze and interpret complex tax regulations and translate them into clear, accessible language.
    3. Review and edit content for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines.
    4. Ensure all content is free of errors and maintains a high standard of quality.
    5. Work closely with tax professionals, legal experts, and other stakeholders to gather information and insights.
    6. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to align content with organizational goals and strategies.
  3. Tax Compliance:
    1. Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
    2. Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and related documentation.
    3. Monitor and ensure compliance with changing tax laws and regulations.
  4. Tax Planning and Strategy:
    1. Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions and minimize tax liabilities.
    2. Provide recommendations for tax-efficient structures and transactions.
    3. Support the tax planning process for mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.
  5. Audit and Review:
    1. Coordinate and manage tax audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
    2. Review and analyze tax provisions and calculations for financial reporting purposes.
    3. Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit procedures.
  6. Research and Analysis:
    1. Conduct in-depth research on tax issues and emerging tax regulations.
    2. Analyze the impact of new tax laws and regulations on the organization’s tax position.
    3. Provide technical support and guidance on complex tax matters.
  7. Reporting and Documentation:
    1. Prepare detailed tax reports and documentation for management and external stakeholders.
    2. Maintain accurate and organized records of tax-related transactions and filings.
  8. Client and Stakeholder Management:
    1. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
    2. Communicate tax-related information and recommendations effectively to clients and management.
  9. Team Leadership and Development:
    1. Mentor and train junior tax associates and staff members.
    2. Review and provide feedback on the work of junior team members.
    3. Contribute to the development and enhancement of tax department processes and procedures.

Person Specification

  • Must have professional qualification (ACCA, CA)
  • Experience in a tax-related role or with a tax advisory firm.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
