Accounting Team Lead

We are looking for an Accounting Team Leader as part of our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the supervision of the accounting team, coordination and execution of account reconciliations, data entry, overall supervision of the accounting function, and finalization of accounts of various clients and industries.

Job Description:

• Create work schedules and job duties for team members
• Provide individual motivation and guidance to employees to help them maximize their potential
• Ensure that staff members are working effectively and efficiently and meet the daily targets assigned to them for each client
• Maintain the time record of each staff member and work done for each client.
• Preparation & Review of the Annual Budget within the defined timelines and collaboration with other functions and the commercial teams of the clients
• Preparation of reports to support the Management needs and ensuring timely adherence to deadlines
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all monthly financial information of all assigned clients
• Ensuring compliance with applicable legislative and tax requirements.
• Maintain the general ledger by processing all company invoices, payments, and purchases along with the team
• Review and verify the accuracy of financial and contract paperwork and processes of assigned clients
• Prepare month end Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Schedules of AP, AR, BRS, Accruals, Prepayments, etc
• Supervise and Process payments and keep bank records up to date related to assigned clients
• Ensure that the reports are shared with the clients as per the agreed scope of work
• Prepare ad-hoc management reports
• Any other task assigned by the management

Person Specifications:

• Must be available to join immediately
• Must have professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CA)
• 5+ years of qualification accounting and reporting experience. Retail and hospitality industry experience will be preferred.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Must have good knowledge in Microsoft Excel
